Telos was a North of England based electro artist aka Ian Todd, releasing several albums and EPs from 2005-2011 Bear With Me Records.

After dissipating the project with the satisfaction of a job well done, Todd went on to work as Fearbox and continue his adventures in the outer reaches of contemporary forward-thinking electronica. “Recollections” is a compilation of singles, album tracks and b-sides from those days gone by.

A tricky one to pin down, Telos was part of the thriving mid noughties North east Scene but instead of cooler-than-ye Indie, he remorselessly challenged us with a dizzying array of experimental and unparalleled noise pop. With nobody qualified to compartmentalise this illustrious output, he was compared to V/VM, Steve Reich and Dennis Smalley. Telos dealt with the realities of modern day life, depression, anger and hatred, using sound to convey these emotions ranging from dance beats to white noise; an output melodic and abrasive to the extreme.

Telos is the link between electro synth pop and avant-garde noise, utilising dance beats, samples, and feedback to create sometimes ambient glitchy electro and occasionally noise based dance. There will be an accompanying remix album released featuring the likes of Field Music, Dutch Uncles and Kubichek!
